GROW comprises a suspension of two types of bacterial spores designed to increase the uptake of nutrients in the soil and efficiency of fertilisers. GROW dissolves otherwise insoluble phosphorus and potassium in the soil near a plant roots and fixes atmospheric nitrogen by making these elements “mobile”, or absorbable by the plant. Bacterial spores that enter the soil “wake up” and begin to multiply rapidly. Phosphorus is one of the major nutrients that drives growth and, unlike nitrogen, is not an such atmospheric and bioavailable resource. Specific GROW bacteria increase the availability of phosphorus to plants by mineralising organic phosphorus in the soil or dissolving phosphates “blocked” by calcium, iron or aluminium.
If you introduced bacteria in the autumn by treating seeds or spraying germinated crops, continue application of the technology in the spring and spray your crop with GROW during the first sprayer run. If you did not introduce bacteria in the autumn, early spring spraying will help form colonies of much-needed phosphorus- and potassium-releasing and atmospheric nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the awakening plant root system. According to farm data, when no bacteria were introduced in autumn, the yield increase was + 4%/ha.
GROW can be used in combination with liquid fertilisers (such as KAS, slurry and micronutrients) or plant protection measures.
